Apple Offers Safari Web Browser for Windows

I don't like Apple, but they've created an undeniably great web browser, perhaps the best of the lot, in Safari. Now, for the first time, it is available to Windows users. Safari uses the open source KHTML engine, like the Konqueror browser in Linux. On NPR this morning…

On NPR's "Morning Edition," they ran a small segment about how much of rural America seems to be deserting the Republican Party. Or ARE they? Read between the lines on some of the comments in this piece, and what you find is territory ripe for someone like Ron Paul and his message. GO HERE to read it and/or hear it. Interesting.

CNN Tries, Fails to Smear Ron Paul

So far, here's the dirt on Ron Paul: 25 years ago some jerk wrote some bigoted things under his name, the 9/11 dumb-fucks like him even though his primary message indicates only how wrong (and stupid) they are and now - are you ready for this shocking news? - Dr. Ron Paul has flown first class on an airplane. Can you believe it?

Antiwar Radio: Charles Goyette

Charles Goyette discusses the War Party on the radio, the despicable lies of Joe Lieberman, the censored press conference of Vladimir Putin and what he said, the post-9/11 hysteria of the American people, the hope inspired by the presidential candidacy of Dr. Ron Paul, what makes him completely different from the rest of them, the inevitable consequences of American economic policy, and the possibility of war with Iran.

Tenth Anniversary of a Great Satire

Stanley Motss: The President will be a hero. He brought peace. Conrad Brean: But there was never a war. Stanley Motss: All the greater accomplishment. Politicians use war as a tool to keep the masses under control. HL Mencken said "the whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary. Wars are no longer waged by the will of superior men, capable of judging dispassionately and...

UPDATE!: NEW SCIENTIST HAS RETRACTED THIS STORY. THESE CRACKS IN THE ROCK AIN'T PUDDLES. * * * * * * * * * Hey science whizzes. This is not hard evidence, but looks very interesting, and adds to some acccumulated evidence that LIQUID WATER EXISTS ON THE SURFACE OF MARS. http://space.newscientist.com/article/dn12026-mars-rover-finds-puddles-on-the-planets-surface.html Is it really water? Well, probably not drinkable. Probably it is extremely briny (to remain liquid under such low pressures) and...

Antiwar Radio: Gareth Porter

Gareth Porter, historian and journalist for IPS News, explains the confluence of interests between Osama bin Laden and Dick Cheney, who both want a U.S. war against Iran, the false accusations against that country which would supposedly justify an aggressive war (such as the lie that they are buddies with Osama and that they are supplying the bombs killing Americans in Iraq and Afghanistan), the likelihood that Cheney would use nuclear weapons as 9 out of 10 Republican presidential candidates...

Walsh, Professor of physiology at UMass and regular contributor to Counterpunch, discusses the left and right, the Democrats and Republicans, realignment against the empire, the push for an invasion of the Sudan and that time Bill Clinton bombed their antibiotics factory - sentencing untold numbers of people to death from easily curable diseases.
