Robert Novak Endorses Ron Paul by Scott | Jul 31, 2007 | Stress Blog | 6 comments Read all about it. 6 Comments Bob Bogus on July 31, 2007 at 5:18 pm Dang it Scott, that sounds like some kinda April Fools joke but it ain’t April! Scott on July 31, 2007 at 6:11 pm Novak opposed (both?) the Iraq War(s). stevec on July 31, 2007 at 6:32 pm No….its true… I don’t think he’s a registered Republican either… He’s an old line conservative – grouch. Mace Price on August 2, 2007 at 9:10 am …Robert Novack, was a leading pro Vietnam War voice in the 60’s, early 70’s along with Buchanan and other key personnel, they were real paleo-Conservative, anti Communist die hards who refused to see the Reality of LBJ’s Policy for the eventual disaster it was…Indeed, their ideological struggle in print against the advent Marxism in Indochina only enabled the same Doctrine to be further legitimized amongst intellectuals and leftists here…Prior to Vietnam, the Left in the US was a Moribund Institution…Fast forward 36-7 years, and oddly enough, former Leftist turned neo-Con War advocates seem to be having a much easier time of it these days—They even have their own Television Network. Still, you wouldn’t believe the level of antipathy and wide spread violence in the anti-War movement of the 60’s…Mass Demonstrations week after week, burning Draft Cards and College Campuses, Coast to Coast Urban Riots, Radical Leftist bombings, Partisan Anti-War Media coverage—And from every Network, even Walter Cronkite…Can you imagine Katie Couric, Brian Williams and Charlie Gibson making definitive anti-war statements today? Ha! I’ll grow hair first. Trust me, by all accounts including mine, it was a formidable Political force, and one not to be ignored…But the point is this: If there’s an anti Iraq War Consensus/Movement today, as is said by some. Then Relatively speaking?…It sure as hell doesn’t amount to much…Worse than that, the apparatchiks of The Decider’s “Unitary Executive” are fully aware of it—That’s why the Occupational Conflict in Iraq, will not ultimately terminate itself as did American Military involvement in Vietnam…and I can’t make it more succinct that that. stevec on August 2, 2007 at 10:15 am I think the vast but relatively tame anti – war sentiment may have something to do with the FLOURIDATION MOVEMENT in the water -y’know to keep the population relative docile and complacement…… I ONLY DRINK BOTTLED WATER NOW! Scott on August 2, 2007 at 10:18 am Everyone’s sitting at home blogging. : ) Also, no draft – I’m not promoting one – means the college kids don’t give a shit.
