awc post

Well, Antiwar.com is making budget cuts and so my gig doing Antiwar Radio and assorted assistant editor type jobs around the site is over. My thanks to Eric Garris and the rest of the crew for having me these past 7 years. Doesn't look like we've stopped any wars, but at least we told people the truth about them. Also thanks very much to all the readers, listeners and volunteers who've helped me all this time. I'll be trying to keep the show going on the Liberty Radio Network and my own...

The Scott Horton Show Funddrive

Well folks, I'm no longer with Antiwar.com. I'll still be doing the radio show for the Liberty Radio Network, RonPaulRadio.com and Anomaly Radio Monday-Friday from 12-3 eastern time, KPFK Friday nights in L.A. and KUCR in Riverside on Sundays. All the archives will still run at ScottHortonShow.com until the new site is up and running. I'm also officially seeking donors and sponsors for the show. I'll do my best to keep it going, but I'm going to need your help. Have a company? Want to sponsor...

The Re-re-revival of the Stress Blog

Ain't you been gettin' tired of there bein' no Stress blog? Me too. So here it is again: International terrorist Barack Obama today suicide-bombed the Baghdad talks with Iran over their nuclear program. Oh, no. Apparently he just regular-bombed them. As former NSC-man Flynt Leverett explained on the show earlier, Obama does not want a deal. He just wants BS nowhere talks in order to forestall an Israeli-initiated war. I guess we'll have to settle for "DC Good Enough." Update: Justin's take.

A Letter to George F. Will

Dear Mr. Will, I believe it would be fair to consider most paleo-conservatives and Green Party pro-labor factions to be "isolationist," in that they are opposed not only to foreign military intervention but open trade as well. They are happy to "look inward" at the United States alone and let the rest of the world get on as it may. However, Dr. Paul always distinguishes the libertarian policy of non-interventionism from isolationism by emphasizing low tariffs for revenue, but never for...

Me on RT

I guess I'd forgotten to post this one. It's from September 27th. Oops. I called Obama "Netanyahu."

Uranium and Beeswax

Too bad ol’ Doc Prather is retired now. If he wasn’t, I guarantee to you that he would point out that buried in all the scaremongering about what Iran 'may' be up to, the new IAEA report [.pdf] says: '[T]he Agency continues to verify the non-diversion of declared nuclear material at the nuclear facilities and LOFs [locations outside facilities where nuclear material is customarily used] declared by Iran under its Safeguards Agreement.' He might also point out that all the implosion systems in...

Could it be that the show matters?

Chris writes: "I've been meaning to write to you for a while, but I just now got around to it. "I grew up in Texas as a typical "Conservative Christian." As recently as a year or so ago, I used to listen to Rush Limbaugh on a regular basis. I started listening to him back in the early 1990s. I agreed with Rush on almost everything and equated his brand of conservatism to liberty. "Fortunately, because of resources such as Mises.org and people such as Tom Woods and Lew Rockwell, I have found...
