3/7/25 Kyle Anzalone on Ukraine, Nuclear Weapons, Gaza and the West Bank
Scott brings Kyle Anzalone back on the show to discuss some of the biggest ongoing news stories related to American foreign policy. They start with Trump’s effort to end the war in Ukraine. They also discuss Trump’s recent comments about nuclear weapons and his Oval Office spat with Zelensky. They then move to Gaza where Anzalone says the ceasefire is holding by a thread. They finish by zooming out and looking at all Israel is up to in the region.

Scott is joined by Brad Pearce to discuss some of the recent developments around the world that he’s following and writing about. They start with what’s happening in Somalia and how the Trump administration will likely affect the dynamics in that region. They then move on to Yemen, where Trump’s first term was defined by continuing Obama’s support for the Saudi war on the Houthis, and his second term has—so far—been defined by a continuation of Biden’s policy of direct strikes on the Houthis.
