For an excellent overview of America’s recent meddling in Iraqi affairs the article, While We Slept is a good place to start. America has been plotting and scheming to take down Iraq for years but as of yet has been unable to accomplish the goal. It does give a certain degree of satisfaction to see the perpetrators wallowing in their miscalculations but it only makes them more determined to accomplish their goal. The human tragedy of this idiocy is plain for all to see but it does not deter Bushco one whit… They will not rest until they have a compliant Iraqi government in place and permanent bases for the US military to oversee and protect our “national intersts” in the area.
