Riverbend has taken the anniversary of the start of the first campaign of mass death against Iraq by the United States to examine the differences in the rebuilding efforts by Hussein’s regime and the “coalition of the willing.”

Damn. And it turns out that the interpreter who was murdered during the kidnapping of Christian Science Monitor reporter Jill Carroll was her old friend Alan from down at the record store.

I am terribly sorry for not doing a good enough job of keeping my government from turning your country into a smoking pile of death, ma’am.

I tried, I swear. But I promise to do better next time.
