He was being hosted by ‘ThirdCoastActivist.org’ and I had a chance to go see him speak. (Get on their No-War mailer if you’re in Austin, it’s a great resource for events.)
I’m sure you guys all know who he his, but hearing his personal story first hand was quite enlightening. He also stayed around for almost another hour afterwards doing Q&A on recent events in Iraq.
All in all it was an excellent way to spend my Friday night with the exception of the dour subject matter and the poor attendance. (We didn’t even fill a small lecture hall with 200 or so seats. *sigh*)
