Had a chance to check out Scott’s recent article in Harpers where he talks about the large number of mercs that the US has employed in Iraq. He reviews the conflicts that have occurred between them and US & Iraqi troops, asking at the end: “Or are the contractors still shielded by their cronies in Washington?”
Scotty, you need to wake up and smell the gunpowder. With the government stretching the military to the breaking point don’t you think that it has crossed the minds of our fearless leaders that they might rebel at some point? Who would the motor mouths and lard butts in DC have to protect them then? It just might be those ‘jackasses with assault rifles,’ that you mention in the article.
