7/11/23 Daniel Davis on the Counteroffensive and Cluster Bombs
Scott was joined by Daniel Davis on Antiwar Radio this week to talk about Ukraine. In this interview, Davis gives an update on where things stand with the counter-offensive. They then refute some common arguments about how antiwar folks are responsible for Ukraine’s trouble breaching Russian lines. They then talk about some of the latest ideas drummed up by beltway “experts” to bring about an end to the war, including cluster bombs. Scott and Davis unpack what’s being presented and think through the likeliest consequences if these ideas are adopted.
Discussed on the show:
Daniel Davis did multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan during his time in the army. He is a Senior Fellow at Defense Priorities and is the author of the reports “Dereliction of Duty II: Senior Military Leaders’ Loss of Integrity Wounds Afghan War Effort” and “Go Big or Go Deep: An Analysis of Strategy Options on Afghanistan.” Find him on Twitter @DanielLDavis1.
