Prepare thyself, Scott Horton, Kushner knows of the unlimited evil of our enemies and how they will stop at nothing to destroy us for no reason other than their hate of progress.  On a serious note, are any major networks televising it or just UStream?

  2. Corkey

It will truly be a Good vs Evil speech.  Hopefully, the listeners will realize who the Good Guy is.  If they start yelling “Give us Barrabbas”, you know you have a bad crowd.

7 cops shoot homeless man 47 times. He had a toy gun.http://abclocal.go.com/kabc/story?section=news/local/los_angeles&id=6382051Also”How terrorist groups end”http://www.rand.org/pubs/research_briefs/RB9351/index1.html
Of the 648 groups that were active at some point between 1968 and 2006, a total of 268 ended during that period. Another 136 groups splintered, and 244 remained active. As depicted in the figure, the authors found that most ended for one of two reasons: They were penetrated and eliminated by local police and intelligence agencies (40 percent), or they reached a peaceful political accommodation with their government (43 percent). Most terrorist groups that ended because of politics sought narrow policy goals. The narrower the goals, the more likely the group was to achieve them through political accommodation — and thus the more likely the government and terrorists were to reach a negotiated settlement.

How 268 Terrorist Groups Worldwide Ended, 1968–2006

In 10 percent of cases, terrorist groups ended because they achieved victory. Military force led to the end of terrorist groups in 7 percent of cases. The authors found that militaries tended to be most effective when used against terrorist groups engaged in insurgencies in which the groups were large, well armed, and well organized. But against most terrorist groups, military force was usually too blunt an instrument.
Key to this strategy is replacing the war-on-terrorism orientation with the kind of counterterrorism approach that is employed by most governments facing significant terrorist threats today. Calling the efforts a war on terrorism raises public expectations — both in the United States and elsewhere — that there is a battlefield solution. It also tends to legitimize the terrorists’ view that they are conducting a jihad (holy war) against the United States and elevates them to the status of holy warriors. Terrorists should be perceived as criminals, not holy warriors.

Scott will do fine….just remember the 3 points to successfully debating a Neocon:1) Affect a British Accent…it will give you an air of authority  2) Be sure to quote extensively from the Protocols of the Elders of Zion….your shear audacity to bring us this text will leave your opponent speechless  and 3) When making key points remove your shoe and bang it on the table just like Kruschev at the UN…. (do not wear sneakers)….Use these three key and a debate victory is virtually assured.

What terrible music! Nationalist rightwing warmongering anthems. God, I love pretty much all music, but this state worship is unbearable.

      1. Anthony Gregory

Actually, hate to admit it, but I kind of like pop country. But I HATE nationalist crap. I kind of like America the Beautiful, but I’m souring on that one too.

        1. mudshark

well, any time I mistakenly hear some of the crap, on whatever top forty country station that some choob is giving themselves hearing damage on, it emanates the stench of polished black knee-high boots and diesel exhaust. not that there aren’t some credible musicians in that genre, they’re just buried under the mass of homological faux-patriotic refuse.

oh, and the alternate version of the national anthem that was used during the medal ceremonies in the ‘water cube’ was the best I’ve ever heard in my life. absolut beauty. ; )
I’ve been trying to find it online, but no luck, yet.

Boy that tune is awesome…..Really makes we wanna fry some sandniggers….anyone know the group or the song….maybe scott can use it as bumper music….

  10. JohnS

Yep, that’s county music these days… not that I ever liked the stuff to begin with. Gee… I wonder if this will be a “fair” debate? Judging from the music selections…

I posted a link to the stream over at Vox Day’s site, some pretty cool Christian libertarian types hang out around there. In a roundabout way, it’s what lead me to Antiwar, Scott’s show, Goyette, LRC/Mises.org… and lead me to put down the Limbaugh koolaid.

The fine Doctor was kind of a prick. I thought you answered the question of “whether we are more endangered by either presidential candidate” quite clearly, they both support the premise of preemption, intervention, and the status quo. Intervention, obviously being an agitator and cause of violence and terrorism, will beget more terror, endangering us further. Was I hallucinating when you apparently “did not address the question”?
Also, I liked his comments mentioning disdain towards people who get their facts from books, newspapers, and television, and analysts. Where does he get his ‘facts’ from, God??

  13. Jose

His characterization of the Muslims reminds me of the portrait painted by the Nazis about the Jews.
“There is this evil ethnic and religious group who wants to destroy our society. We have to exterminate them”

  14. MikeL

You’re right, Jose. That is his what his plan boils down to: kill 150 million Muslims. What else could he mean? There was nothing else there.

  15. sado

The thing I like about Harvey is that he’s a real fact based kind of guy.
He doesn’t get his information from no newspaper clipping or what some guy says, he gets it from experience.
And we all know that Israel did not create Hamas that’s just not true.
And we all know Al qaeda hates us because they’re muslim, and it says it in the koran.

    Great job Scott!
You’re ready for the big time now.  You were very relaxed and transformed your radio persona onto a live audience excellently.Democracy Now… -look out!Not to take anything away from Scott, but the Republican party is totally in the toilet.  If McCain is their best prospect for prez and this dolt is their foreign policy expert.  Man.  How embarrassing.

  17. l hickey

Here is the new campaign button for McCain

    prosperity? security?– nah–
Team USA- We will kick your but.

  18. Rob

Excellent debate Scott.  I’m forwarding the link to friends and email lists that I’m on.
Don’t ever worry about losing your train of thought.  It shows that you are real, and not just spouting talking points.  You recovered very well anyway. I’m sorry to even bring it up, but it was the only moment that you weren’t kicking his ass the entire night.

  19. Redrum

I just can’t believe someone would even debate this…(from the side of Kushner) The people that are dumb enough to believe this is true do not watch debates…

  20. Oscar Goldman

Scott, I’d like to congratulate you on a job well done.  How is it that this taxi driving, skateboarding, Minor Threat, Bad Brains, and Black Flag listening dude without a major degree can totally wallop a PhD in a debate on every point? And use more perfect English grammar besides? No kidding I thought I’ve seen it all.  If there was a single Republican left walking out of the audience, I would be shocked and appalled. At any rate, some place ought to grant you the damn PhD, already, because you both need and deserve the credential of Dr. Horton.I’m not s***ing you.

      1. Oscar Goldman

You sir are a genius, and one of the best teachers I’ve ever had.  If I may offer you any advice it is this: seize these moments and this time in your life to achieve the greatness that you are destined for, and don’t stop till you’ve realized all your dreams.

  21. stevec

Fess up Scott….   That Toby Keith and Lee Greenwood music they were playing before the debate got you pumped up………or were you wearing your walkman listening to AMERICA FUCK YEAH before the throwdown w/ Harve….Also, please get back to me regarding those Kushner books…I hear they are flying off the shelf….

    1. Corkey

Yeah,  you could also have parted Kushner’s hair (if he had any) with a good WWE steel chair shot.
