Very glad I caught the show today…I’d read “Their Eyes Were Watching God” but had little further knowledge about Hurston besides knowing that she was an individualist and a very “uncommon” (ha) woman in her time. And uh, the “zombie movie” mentioned above is based on the actual book “The Serpent and the Rainbow” by Wade Davis. Which is also a great book.
Cheers for the shout-out to the ladies who’ve spoken out for the cause…it was a nice aspect to cover on your show.
Scott, Ron Paul is great but my understanding is his campaign staff has never run a national or even a statewide campaign before. They aren’t ready for primetime and it shows. This is the fear I’ve had all along, especially when all the money started to flow in.
In the 1950s Rothbard was still trying to make friends with Strom Thurmond.
I’ll bet you that the idiots in charge of Ron Paul’s TV and radio ads are the same Libertarian Party idiots that would always try and hide their distinctive and interesting ideas immediately every time they would start to gain popularity.
Mike Huckabee is getting scarier by the day, reminds me of the old saying ‘when fascism comes to these shores it wil come wrapped in the flag carrying a bible’
“I have opponents in this race who do not want to change the Constitution. But I believe it’s a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living God. And thats what we need to do is amend the Constitution so it’s in God’s standards rather than trying to change God’s standards so it lines up with some contemporary view of how we treat each other and how we treat the family.†– M.Huckabee
Anyone watching the returns out there? Ron is running a distant 4th but he’s smashing Ghouliani and Thompson. That’s really amazing when you think about it.
The zombies in Haiti were basis for the horror movie ‘Serpent and the Rainbow’. (love that title)

I loved your interview with Beito.

It shows a lack of conviction. This is particularly bad when the subject is Paul, who knows exactly what he means.
Off with their heads! Hold a contest on Youtube or SOMETHING!!!

Now that’s some of the most interesting conversation I’ve heard in a long, long time… from you or from anyone for that matter. Wow. Excellent!!
