“Trillions of dollars are missing from the US government. What’s going on? Where is the money? How could this happen? Where are the checks and balances? How much more has gone missing? What would happen if a corporation failed to pass an audit like this? Or a taxpayer? Who is responsible for this? Would your banks continue to handle your bank account if you behaved like this? Would your investors continue to buy your securities if you behaved like this? Learn more in the articles below.”

Hey, a sort of general RP question here:
My dad is a sort of typical leftish baby boomer NPR listener type. When he asked me who I support for President, of course I said Ron Paul, to which he replied that he had no idea who that was (NPR doesn’t devote much time to Dr. No). When I said he was a libertarian, he gave me that look that says “Oh – one of those Lyndon LaRouche nuts”. I’d really like to send him an article (hopefully printed off the internet) from a “respectable” source like the NY Times or Wash. Post (Yeah, yeah, I know – but he’s an NPR listening baby boomer, remember) that would introduce Dr. Paul and his policies. So can any of you RP Revolutionaries point me towards something you think would be about right? Thanks!

Well, Ken, thanks, but what I was really looking for is an article which will introduce RP from scratch to someone who has no idea who he is. Something with his background, a profile, his positions, and so on. A general intro, if you will.
If your father has internet access then tell him to go to these links and read the articles… http://www.lewrockwell.com/paul/paul-arch.html and http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=Ron+Paul+political+history&btnG=Search If all he wants to do is listen to NPR then the chances are slim that he will ever catch on to the fact that America needs a break from the “usual suspects” if we ever hope to change the poltical status quo.
He has no net access. Apparently Thoreau would disapprove of such things. That’s why I want to find an article and print it out for him.
Do him a favor and buy him a computer system…
…Thoreau? Your Dad must’ve been an English Major.
Slim,
Here’s his New York Times profile: (Scary headline for a liberal, but a decent article):
