As reported on the Lewrockwell Blog, a recent poll tells us that Ron Paul would snatch 34% of the vote in a contest with Hilary Clinton, would would take 49%.
At first glance, this doesn’t seem like much. But consider that Ron Paul is still relatively unknown among common folk, and this is a stellar performance.
Also consider another possibility. Ron does great in the primaries but is edged out by Mr. Haircut or Mr. Comb-over.
Then he pulls a Ross Perot and runs as an independent. Under these circumstances is is possible that he could win a plurality of US voters by stealing equally from Republicans and Democrats. He could win the electoral votes of a number of states.
He could win the election, period. Even today. Wowee!
